Track & Field

Loyola Blakefield offers Varsity, JV, and Middle School track in the spring season to its students.

Like the cross country and indoor track programs, outdoor track is a no-cut sport. Students at levels of experience are encouraged to run in the program.










Outdoor track offers the following events:

There are also relays in the 4 x 800m, 4 x 400m, 4 x 200m and 4 x 100m.

Constructed in 2006, Loyola has a state of the art track facility while the program hosts an annual invitational, “The Loyola Relays”, for area teams. Competing in the highly competitive MIAA 'A' conference, Loyola usually places among the top 5 teams in the league. Jose Albornoz and Chris Cucuzzella have run the program for more than 20 years as Head and Assistant Varsity coaches. Lee Jephson who brings a wealth of knowledge about speed and strength development and John Minadakis will also be on the high school coaching staff this spring. Laura Reid and Sally Waller run the Middle School program.
