Squash

Loyola's squash program, headed by Coach Joe Lacy in his sixth year, started in 2003 and has steadily grown each year to accomadate both a JV and Varsity team that play in the MIAA Conference. The Dons' home court is Bare Hills Racquet Club. Coach Lacy and the pro from Bare Hills hold practices every day in season and the teams usually have two matches a week, including a series of weekly challenge matches within the teams.

Loyola also has a Squash Club in the Middle School that meets twice a week in the evenings for practices and plays a slate of interscholastic matches in the afternoons after the school day. Coach Lacy also heads up the MS Squash Club.

Squash is a lifetime sport, and the goal of the program is to teach the fundamentals of play, as well as teamwork, sportsmanship, character, and respect for the game and the opponent.
