The Timothy O. Pierce Scholarship Fund is named in memory of Mr. Tim Pierce, who served many roles throughout his 38-year career at Loyola Blakefield including: English teacher, guidance counselor, Head of Admissions, Head of the Middle School, Registrar, Director of Technology, writing grants for the Development Office, but perhaps he is most remembered for his presence on the pool deck as Loyola Blakefield's swimming coach. In 1991, Tim received Loyola's highest faculty award at the time—the Blake Medal—for his unwavering commitment to the school. Pierce was elected to the Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame in 1986 and later named to Loyola Blakefield's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. 

Contributions to this fund provide merit awards to incoming accepted freshmen or enrolled students with exceptional talent in swimming.
