2013-14 BASKETBALL SEASON PREVIEW
11/19/2013

Varsity Basketball went 5-20 last year, but finished off by playing its best basketball of the season. In their last game of the regular season, the team upset high-ranked Archbishop Spalding 69-49 before losing to Mount Saint Joseph in the MIAA quarterfinals.

"This year, our strengths will be in our veteran leadership and our perimeter play on the court," said Head Coach Josh Davalli.

With seven seniors returning to the team this year and the fact that Loyola will be undersized agains the majority of their opponents, it's hard to deny that these will be the keys to Loyola's success. They will look to heavily rely on speed and perimeter shooting to get the job done.

The first home game of the season will be Dec. 9th at 7 p.m. against MIAA "A" Conference opponent Glenelg Country School.
